James Gandolfini died after heart attack
The Sopranos star James Gandolfini died following a heart attack, an autopsy has confirmed.
Family friend Michael Kobold told a news conference the actor died of natural causes and that "nothing was found in his system".
He added his body had been released to a funeral director and plans were being made to repatriate him to the US.

The producers of “The Bachelorette” decided to drag out the finale into two weeks, but after a shocking exit in Antigua during last night’s episode, it looks as though it may be worth it.
The week—also known as Fantasy Suite Week—started off quite normally. Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock took Drew Kenney to a local festival in Antigua for some dancing and shopping, before offering him the chance to spend the night alone with her without any cameras—a “Bachelorette” tradition when it is down to three suitors.
“I’m ecstatic,” Drew said. “I don’t want to ever give up time with you.”

Mom Tracks Down Stolen Car with Facebook
Melissa Torrez has a dramatic history with her car: It's the one she used to chase down a man who kidnapped her 4-year-old daughter in May. So when the car was stolen on July 23, the Albuquerque, New Mexico, mom took to Facebook to track down her Chrysler 300. The social media post of her missing car was shared by hundreds of family members and friends, and the next day, it was recovered by police.

FBI rescues more than 100 children, arrests 150 pimps in sex-trafficking raid
The FBI launched a 72-hour nationwide operation targeting pimps who prey on children -- an undercover mission that rescued 105 teens ranging mostly in age from 13 to 17 years old, with the youngest victim being 9 years old, authorities said Monday.
Ronald Hosko, assistant director of the FBI's criminal division, said "Operation Cross-Country" -- launched Friday -- included sting operations in 76 U.S. cities that resulted in the arrests of 150 pimps.
Swarm Of Bees Attacks Couple And Kills Horses
A couple exercising their two miniature horses have been attacked by a swarm of around 30,000 bees, stinging the animals so many times that they died.
Kristen Beauregard, 44, was stung about 200 times and her boyfriend around 50 times as the insects chased and followed them in Pantego, north Texas.
She said they were sweeping up "piles and piles" of bees and "it was like a bad movie".
Ms Beauregard said everything was normal as she exercised Trump, a Shetland pony, until he started jumping and kicking.

Psy certainly knows how to get the party started -- but ending it is another story. In a candid new interview with the U.K.'s Sunday Times, the 35-year-old Korean pop star admits that he drinks all day and all night, regardless of whatever else he's doing or feeling.
"If I'm happy, I'm drinking, if I'm sad, I'm drinking. If it's raining, I'm drinking, if it's sunny, I'm drinking. If it's hot, I'm drinking, if it's cold, I'm drinking," he shares. In fact, the only time he doesn't have a glass in hand, he reveals, is when he's hungover, which happens "a lot."
Psy's favorite libation is Korean vodka, which he calls his "best friend" and "vice partner," but he won't turn down other liquors. "Whisky, vodka, tequila, whatever," he says of his alcohol preferences.

BMW has not released the car for test drives yet, but on paper it looks like it will be more agile than competitors like the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt. Its 2,700 pounds are feather-light compared to the others, and its flat lithium-ion battery packaged along the floor of the vehicle is balanced–like the rest of the BMW fleet–with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution front to back.

Ubuntu Superphone Fundraiser Rakes in $1M on Debut
Canonical — makers of the Ubuntu distribution of Linux — is asking geeks to collectively cough up $32 million dollars in the next month to crowdfund a smartphone that could serve as a laptop replacement. Supporters have already pledged nearly $1 million in the first five hours of the fundraiser.
Earlier this year the company announced Ubuntu Touch, a version of its operating system optimized for smartphones and tablets. From the beginning, Canonical has pitched “convergence” as Ubuntu Touch’s raison d’etre. Ubuntu Touch is actually a full installation of Ubuntu, but with an interface built for mobile devices. The idea is that when an Ubuntu Touch phone or tablet is connected to a monitor and keyboard, it will display the desktop version of Ubuntu’s Unity interface. But without laptop-grade specs, few people would actually ditch their PCs for a phone. That’s where the new phone comes in.

Scientists have taken a major step toward potentially reversing a common form of blindness.Researchers at the University College London (UCL)successfully transplanted light-sensitive photoreceptor cells from a synthetic retina that was grown from embryonic stem cells into night-blind mice. Photoreceptor cells are light sensitive nerve cells at the back of the eye. Many forms of blindness -- including age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and diabetes-related blindness -- are caused by the loss of these cells.

Prince William and Duchess Kate's first baby, a future monarch, was born today at 4:24 pm local time in London's private St. Mary's Hospital, the palace announced. The announcement said the baby weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and William was present for the birth.
Mother and baby were both doing well, the announcement added. The name was not immediately announced and may not be known for up to a week.

DETROIT—In 2011, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder said bankruptcy wasn't an option for the city of Detroit. Two years later, he changed his mind, deciding that it was the Motor City's only remaining move.
How Michigan voters view Mr. Snyder's decision last week to sign off on the nation's largest municipal bankruptcy filing—a courageous stand or a disappointing flip-flop—could help decide the Republican's political future. It comes on the heels of the governor's controversial signing in December of right-to-work legislation, a move followed by a sharp drop in his approval ratings below 50% in recent polls.
